Elderly Tree Island Ethics

Responsible sourcing of iboga

Our iboga is sourced with care and intention, not as a commodity. We prioritize ethical relationships and accountability in how the plant is obtained and stewarded.

Respect for Bwiti tradition and lineage

This work acknowledges the spiritual and cultural roots of iboga within the Bwiti tradition. We do not separate the plant from the people and the lifeways from which it comes.

No medical claims or promises of cure

We do not present iboga as a treatment or a cure for any condition. This is spiritual and ceremonial work, not medical care.

Clear informed consent

Participants receive thorough information about the nature, intensity, and risks of iboga before choosing to participate. Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time.

Careful participant screening

Iboga is not appropriate for everyone. Screening helps ensure safety and determines whether participation is a responsible choice for each individual.
